24/7 Emergency Vet in Molesey
What to do in an emergency
- Remain as calm as possible – this will benefit your pet as they can sense stress.
- If your pet has ingested or come into contact with something toxic, note down the time, how much, and keep the wrapper/container if possible
- Call our emergency team who will advise you on what to do next.
Our symptom checker or our poison guide may help to determine how concerned you should be about your pet.
Emergencies during opening hours
When you call, let our Receptionists know that it is an emergency and not a routine issue. Our Vets will do their very best to see your pet as quickly as possible. If the situation is life-threatening, your pet may be admitted whilst we make a Vet available.

Emergencies out of hours
Our out-of-hours veterinary emergencies are handled by our team of critical care vets and nurses at North Surrey Veterinary Emergencies, who work around the clock in the building next door to our Molesey Vets practice.
North Surrey Veterinary Emergencies is not an outside service, but an extension of the Partridge Practice’s experienced staff – giving owners the peace of mind that you can trust your pet’s veterinary team. Learn more about North Surrey Veterinary Emergencies.
Home visits
Our emergency team is constantly busy providing essential, often life-saving care to pets at our premises.
If your pet becomes ill or injured, we highly recommend asking a friend/neighbour for help or contacting a pet taxi. Getting to the clinic gives your pet the best chance at a successful recovery due to the facilities and wider team who are able to help. However, if you are definitely unable to get your pet to the clinic, we will endeavour to send a vet to you as soon as we can – this will be determined by the number of emergency cases we are treating at the time of your call.
If you are unsure, it is always best to consult your vet. Contact us during opening hours on 0208 979 1384 or on 0208 783 2850 if you are concerned out of hours.
