The on-site veterinary laboratory facilities available at Claygate Vets provide swift, accurate laboratory results that help our team to diagnose a range of pet health conditions. We can provide rapid services such as blood tests and microscopy, including Abaxis processors for exotic species.
Quicker results help pets faster
We have biochemistry and haematology machines that enable our Vets to test blood and body tissues. They measure levels of enzymes and other substances in your pet’s body for an accurate diagnosis, and in some cases, can produce test results within just 15 minutes.
With the tools to provide same-day test results on-site, Claygate’s Veterinary Surgeons can pinpoint a variety of health problems quickly without necessarily needing to use more invasive diagnostic methods. This allows for the appropriate course of treatment to commence quickly, which can be crucial in emergency situations.
Specialist laboratory services
If your pet requires more specialised investigations, we can send samples to a trusted external laboratory service for testing.
A secure overnight courier collects our samples every day. They are transported directly to the laboratory so we can get the results back to you as quickly as possible, often the very next day. Our Vets will contact you to discuss your pet’s results and to make a treatment plan.
